Official Hopes Russian World Foundation Will Resume Work in Philippines

A high-ranking Russian government official expressed hope that the Russian World Foundation [Russkiy Mir Foundation] will continue its activity in the Philippines as he noted that the most important thing to develop is the cultural exchange and contact between the two countries.

"We regret that there has been a pause with the activities of the Russian World Foundation which has been very effective in the Philippines due to economic crisis," said Ernest Valeev, deputy of the State Duma and vice chairman of the Committee on Safety and Corruption Counteraction.
