Belarusian-Korean University Student Exchange Programs Discussed

A delegation of the Belarusian State University visited the Republic of Korea. The delegation was led by Vyacheslav Molofeyev, Dean of the Pre-University Education Department, representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in the Republic of Korea told BelTA.

Negotiations were held with the administration and professors of Russian language chairs in several Korean universities. The sides discussed the development of cooperation, including student exchange programs. The BSU delegation informed that the university had renewed Russian language study programs and will allow foreign students to study Russian remotely as from September 2013.

As part of the jury the delegation took part in the third Russian language contest among Korean students in the Hankuk University in Seoul. The event was organized by the Russkiy Mir Foundation, the Russian Studies Institute of the Hankuk University, the Embassy of Belarus in the Republic of Korea, the Embassy of Russia in the Republic of Korea, LG Electronics Company, and the Russian air carrier Aeroflot.

The delegation also met with representatives of the Russian Studies Institute of the Hankuk University, the Korea Foundation for the sake of preparing joint publications and researches into the development of the Belarusian-Korean dialogue in politics, trade and economy.
