Days of Russian Culture in Venice Coincide with Carnival

A Russian culture festival is opening in Venice on February 11 as part of a project entitled Cultural Mission. St. Petersburg – Venice, Voice of Russia news agency reports. The program features the Lezginka dance ensemble from Dagestan, young soloists of St. Petersburg’s Mariinsky Opera and Ballet Theater and a jewelry exhibition Orthodox Images in Jewelry.

This year the festival coincided with the world known Venice carnival.
