Washington Hosts Opening Performances of the Bolshoi Ballet’s Tour

The Ballet of the Bolshoi Theatre is launching its US tour in Washington on February 16 with Spartacus by Aram Khachaturian in Jury Grigorovich’s choreography. The legendary ballet will be on for seven evenings at The Kennedy Center as part of the Focus on Russia program. 

Yury Grigorovich is accompanying the troupe abroad to personally hold rehearsals. First staged in 1968, the ballet with over a hundred dancers involved has always been on the repertoire of the Bolshoi Theatre.
