Moscow to Hold Viennese Ball

On the 24th of April, Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov and the Austrian Ambassador Margot Kles-til-Loeffler will open the Russian capital’s annual Viennese Ball, the Voice of Russia reports. Some two thousand interna-tional guests at it will enjoy a star-studded gala, with the baritone Dmitri Khvorostovski, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and Austria’s Axel Rot Big Band taking part. The ball is one of Moscow’s events ahead of the 65th anniversary of Allied Victory over Nazi Germany.
