Italians Get a New Source about Russia

29.03.2010

The first issue of an eight-page Russia Today, a supplement to the popular Italian daily la Repubblica, has been issued today, reports ITAR-TASS.

The issue has been prepared by a Moscow-based newspaper Rossiiskaya Gazeta. The supplement will be issued once a month, and will go with Rome and Milan editions of la Repubblica. The project is supposed to raise awareness of the local population about Russia-related events. Apart from that, starting from August 2010 the Russia Today section will be available on the official newspaper's website.

Of note, Rossiiskaya Gazeta runs similar projects in the USA, the UK, France, India, Brazil, Bulgaria and Argentina.
