Russkiy Mir Foundation Opens Russian Center in Donetsk

08.04.2010

The Russian Center, which opened April 8, became the fourth such center of the Foundation in Ukraine (the others are located in Kiev, Lugansk and Kharkov) and the 50th center worldwide. The opening of this newest center points to the development and strengthening of humanitarian ties between Russia and Ukriane.

“This center will help create a bridge between our peoples, which I am sure continue to be fraternal, and between our cultures, which are truly unseparable,” said Russkiy Mir Executive Director Vyacheslav Nikonov at the opening ceremony.  He promised that the Foundation would continue to support the center.

Deputy chair of the Donetsk regional administration Elena Petryaeva said, “It would be unthinkable to achieve further development without friendly, partnership relations with Russia and other CIS states.”
