Russian School NGO Presents New Projects Devoted to Russian Literature and Culture

09.02.2015

The all-Ukrainian public organization “Russian School” presented its new projects in Kiev and the Kiev Region as part of the Literature Year. The organization’s head Alexander Kondryakov presented a joint with the Russkiy Mir Foundation project of the international intellectual game “I know!” In the season of 2015 not only the schoolchildren of Ukraine participate, as in previous years, but also schoolchildren from Belarus, Germany, Russia, Latvia, Bulgaria, Sweden, Italy and Moldova.

Every year the Russian School organizes expeditions to places related to Russian history and culture. In the previous years the route of Prince Igor’s force and the route of Anton Chekhov’s travel to Sakhalin were chosen. Researchers from the Russian School visited Sri Lanka, Madagascar, Balaam, Solovetsky Archipelago and Kizhi. This year the main destination is the Caucasus – the land full of enigmas and romantics, the expedition following in the footsteps of Pushkin, Lermontov, Griboyedov and Chekhov. The expedition’s working name is “The Russian Muse of the Caucasus.” The Russkiy Mir Foundation, International Pedagogical Society and other NGOs provide their active organizational support.
