International Conference on Issues Facing Shanghai Cooperation Organization Held in Ufa

From February 18 to 20 Ufa State University of Economics and Service host an international conference on the problems and prospects for international cooperation in education ahead of the SCO summit. 

The aim of the conference was the decision of pressing issues and proposals for successful implementation of the Russian-Kazakh model for cooperation in education with an emphasis on the active promotion of Russian humanities values, particularly the Russian language as the language of international communication in the Eurasian region.

The participants of the conference included representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Bashkortostan, regional education departments, university instructors, school teachers, graduate students and more – 300 people in total.

The conference program included master classes, training seminars and exhibitions, Reports were delivered on the problems and perspectives of cooperation of SCO member-states in education, and the historical legacy and prospects for development of the education in Russian and Kazakhstan.

The participants of the conference noted the heightened level of interest of students in the project’s overriding theme, in particular, the promotion of Russian cultural and education values as an integration factor for Eurasia.
