Memorial Orchard in Israel

13.05.2015

At the Russian courtyard in Magdala, Israel, as a part of the international festival “Victory Parade” supported by the Russkiy Mir Foundation and Rossotrudnichestvo, more than 20 young orange, peach and olive trees were planted.

The “Victory Parade” festival dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War was attended by 22 schoolchildren from Moscow, Nizhniy Novgorod and Birobidzhan. These children were special nominees of the “Victory Parade” festival held in Moscow – the Kalinka folk dance ensemble, singers and performers from various regions of Russia.

The young artists, age 11 to 16, enthusiastically took part in the initiative and with the help of members of the Russian Ecclesiastical Mission planted the Memorial Orchard in Magdala.
