Memory Tree Planted in Bethlehem

At the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Bethlehem participants of the international festival of children and youth arts “Victory Parade in the Holy Land” planted a young olive tree. This “Memory Tree” is accompanied by a memorial plaque which reads has an inscription in Russian and Arabic: “To the Soviet Soldier Who Protected the World from Fascism”. The planting concluded with a moment of silence.
