The Foundation for the Sustainable Development of Bulgaria with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation held an international seminar “We Were Together in the Fight Against Fascism”. The participants of the seminar included schoolchildren and teachers, winners of the international contest for schoolchildren “Together in the 21st Century” and veterans of Bulgaria and Russia.
The aim of the seminar was to create a direct line of communication between teachers, pupils, scholars and veterans to expand the knowledge of teachers and reinforce the historical truth about World War II and the contribution of the Soviet army and Soviet people to the defeat of fascism. An important aspect an important aspect of the reports and discussions was the theme of the joint struggle of the Bulgarian and Soviet people against fascism as a continuation of the traditions, spiritual affinity and friendship between Bulgaria and Russia. Another important theme of the discussions was the danger of the reemergence of fascism and neo-Nazism.
