10.09.2015

The 2nd National Festival of Russian Poetry, Songs and Dance, "Let There Always Be Sun", has concluded in Bulgaria. The festival, sponsored by the Russkiy Mir Foundation, was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Victory over Fascism.

More than 350 schoolchildren from Russian-language schools, and other pupils of all ages met for the last day of the festival. The festival, organised by the National Movement of Rusophiles, gathered together many older pupils of the 9th to 12th classes, many of whom are in their last years at one of the prestigious "Schools of Mathematical and Natural Sciences" from the towns of Vratsa, Ruse, Burgas, Haskovo and many others.

The festival was opened by Anton Tonchev, deputy chairperson of the National Movement of Rusophiles Council. Galina Stoyanova, mayor of the town of Kazanlak, also spoke at the event.

A jury, headed by composer Andrey Drenikov, determined the winners of prizes in various age-groups and genres of performance. Winners received diplomas and certificates from the Ministry of Education, and trophies handed out by the National Movement of Rusophiles and the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
