Paris Hosts Workshop on Speech Development of Bilingual Children

21.10.2015

A workshop and master classes entitled "Speech Development of Bilingual Children under Tamara Lombina's Programme" was held in Paris, France. The workshop was hosted by Natalia Luksha, Director of the Chitaika Children’s Center, and Tamara Lombina, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, children’s author and teacher with many years’ experience.

Russian language teachers and parents learned about the methods of teaching Russian to preschoolers through fairy-tales and games. The hosts discussed the ways of speech development through full immersion and folklore. Master classes—open lessons “A Voyage to Chitai-Gorod”—proved to be enjoyable for children and adults alike. Folk games, puzzles, fairy-tales, dances and songs helped engage in the process even those children who had just started learning Russian.

The workshop was organized with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, the Russian-language newspaper Sovetnik and Librairie du Globe, the oldest Russian shop in France.
