On 22 October 2015 the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology at the Shevchenko Transnistria State University hosted a research-and-practice seminar “Contemporary Issues in Teaching Russian Language and Literature in Primary School” with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.
The seminar that brought together 150 people was aimed at defining the methods of advancing primary linguistic education in Transnistria. The event was attended by officials of the Ministry of Education, primary school teachers, employees and students of the Department of Pedagogy and others.
Tatiana Zinovyeva, professor at the Moscow State Pedagogical University, gave an informative speech on the basic aspects of introducing technologies into the education process and presented the most well-known classification of technologies, drawing special attention to innovations.
Educators exchanged experience in the field of teaching Russian and reading in primary school during roundtables at several panels.
The attendants appreciated the master class “Interactive Methods of Teaching Russian and Reading” by teachers of Tiraspol Humanities and Mathematics Gymnasium V. Nikitina, V. Bratan, N. Gratilova, N. Polishchuk, I. Chekhovskaya and O. Kolesnikova.
The participants in the event noted that it was very productive, as they gained new knowledge and communicated with their peers.
The seminar was largely oriented towards advanced training of primary school teachers. Its participants received personal certificates as proof of their contribution to the research-and-practice event.
