Russian Ballet Performs in Mexico

14.12.2015

The Days of Russian Culture were held in Mexico in late November-early December. The festival was organized by the Russian Home in Mexico, a Russian compatriot organization, with the support of the Russkiy Mir Foundation.

The Russian culture festival was dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Russian art enthusiasts had a chance to attend an exhibition devoted to the life and works of Tchaikovsky, while Lyudmila Titova’s Moscow Ballet gave performances of The Nutcracker and Swan Lake in Mexico City, Guadalajara and Colima.

“Russian culture is clearly welcome here. We are convinced that events like this one contribute to friendship and understanding between our countries,” says Viktoria Stasyuk, head of the Russian Home in Mexico.
