Belarusian Educators Explore New Methods of Teaching Russian

On 16‒17 February 2016, the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Minsk hosted a research-and-practice seminar “Russian as a Foreign Language in Universities: New Requirements, Approaches, Solutions.” The seminar was aimed at professors from Belarusian universities. Leading Russian-language experts from Moscow, St Petersburg and Minsk discussed the new trends in teaching Russian as a foreign language.

The seminar’s program included an exhibition of new textbooks and study guides, as well as roundtables devoted to new Russian-language textbooks and new methods and technologies in teaching Russian.

The meeting was held with support from the Russkiy Mir Foundation, the International Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature, the Belarusian Non-Commercial Organization of Teachers of Russian Language and the Belarusian State University.
