St. Petersburg University branch opens in Seul

St. Petersburg University branch opens in Hankuk University of Foreign Studies in Seul, TASS reports. Presidents of both Universities, Nikolay Kropachev and Dr. Kim In-Chul put their signatures on the agreement.

According to Dr. Kim In-Chul, Seul university is very proud that major Russian institution agreed to collaborate. Now Russian and Korean scholars discuss the possibility of organizing similar branch of Hankuk University in Saint Petersburg. Both sides are sure that this exchange helps to develop further communication of Russian and South Korean academic circles.

In his turn, Nikolay Kropachev has stressed that this step continues the promotion of links between St. Petersburg University and scientific and educational institutions of South Korea. Soon the university will open its branches in China, France and USA. The Russian branch will promote Russian language, history and culture, as well as educatiuonal seminars with participation of Russian slavists, historians and other key scholars.
