BRICS countries youth and children's theaters create association, TASS reports. The Founding assembly took place in Chinese city Tianjin. It coincides with the BRICS Chairmanship Summit involving culture authorities heads of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.

It is planned that the new theater association will conduct meetings each year from now on. Varios exchange programs, training courses, theater forums, collaborative projects and many other activities are on the future agenda.

According to Obraztsov Puppet Theater director Irina Korchevnikova who represents our country at the BRICS Summit, the idea of BRICS children's theaters create association is great. She has stressed that hopefully not only the central theaters but also small peripheral theatres will get new momentum for development, and financial help.

Mrs Korchevnikova thinks that it's important to bring kids to theaters, and no less imoportant to allow intercultural exchange. The association will play an important part to educate and raise children.
