MFA will answer to the new anti-Russian sanctions

06.08.2017

RF MFARussian MFA deeply regrets the UN’s decision on the new round of anti-Russian sanctions that extended the list of legal entities and individuals, TASS reports. Foreign Ministry has claimed that EU actions have no grounds, and will not go unanswered. Official Brussels has included some Russian companies and individuals for Siemens gas turbines supply to Crimea in circumvention of the sanctions.

It was marked in the ministry that restrictions introduced from Berlin contradict international law.

Russian MFA thinks that the turbines supply issue has to be sorted out between economic entities in court if they’re not able to sort out things between themselves. Moscow considers unacceptable using this type of conflict in politics to further complicate the relations.

Let us remember, the scandal connected with turbines supply from German concern Siemens was the reason for tightening of the sanctions pressure. EU prohibits to its businessmen any merchant exchanges with Crimea and Sevastopol territories, unless they have Ukrainian certificates. Crimea is subject to EU sanctions on energy equipment for infrastructure projects, including gas turbines. Also Crimea citizens can't get European visas in the consulates located on RF territory.
