Russian compatriots to write Big Ethnographic Dictation

pixabay.comBig Ethnographic Dictation will take place in all regions of Russia on November 3, TASS informs. Its conduction is timed with National Unity Day. Federal Agency for Affairs of Nationalities is organizing the event.

The status of this campaign will change – it will become international soon. Now Russian compatriots residing in other countries can join it too.
Anybody can take part in the dictation regardless of their age and level of education. The results will be announced on December 12, at Constitution Day.

According to director of FAAN Igor Barinov, national variety of our country is a unique trait of Russia. One hundred and ninety people inhabit the territory of the Russian Federation. The dictation participants have a chance to check their knowledge of history, traditions and customs.
Apart from Russian citizens, natives of Russia living currently in Turkey, Switzerland, Israel took part in the ethnographic dictation last year. Thirty five thousand people came to write a dictation in person, whereas more than fifty thousand did it online.
