Lavrov discusses Israel-Palestine issue with US Jewish community

RF Foreign MinistryRussian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with heads of US Jewish Communities at the General Assembly of the United Nations, TASS reports.

“There was exchange of opinions on critical issues of Russian-American relations and a range of international questions including situation around Syria and Israel-Palestine issue,” the message says.

Parties paid much attention to combating terrorism, extremism, anti-Semitism and neo-Nazism, the press-service states. Importance of efforts directed at restoring memories of events and victims of the Second World War was stressed out.

Lavrov heads the Russian delegation at the 72nd session of the General Assembly of the United Nations opened in New York on September 12. The working agenda of the minister includes several dozens of top-level events and bilateral meetings. He is giving a speech at the general political discussion of the General Assembly of the United Nations on September 21.
