Flickr/ERIC SALARDRussian Aeroflot was recognized as the best European company in Business class nomination by World Travel Awards, which is considered the Oscars of the tourism sector, Lenta.ru reports.

Turkish Airlines was called the best air carrier (Economic and Business class) for the first time. For the previous six years this award was granted to Lufthansa.

Thomas Cook Airlines was named the best charter airline, while Norwegian is granted as the best low-cost service.

The largest international airport of Switzerland, Zürich Airport was called the best in 2017.

Europe's Leading Beach Destination award went to Portuguese Algarve, and Venice was named Europe's Leading Cruise Destination.

As we already informed, St. Petersburg received The Best European Destination prize. The Russia's North Capital will host the award ceremony that will take place in Russia for the first time in the history of the World Travel Awards.
