President of France calls for collaboration with Russia

01.11.2017

Flickr/Ville de NeversEurope needs building up an intensive dialogue with Russia, according to French President Emmanuel Macron. He made this statement during his presentation in the European Court of Human Rights, TASS reports.

He believes that current difficulties in relations with Russia should not stop this interaction. We should lead an intensive dialogue with Russia despite existing complications. This is better than shutting doors, Macron claimed.

He has noted that Paris is taking part in this dialogue and is not going to stop it. He is sure that Russia’s and Turkey’s fates are tightly bound with Europe.

The head of France has emphasized that European countries should stand for their values; however, they should not teach other countries any lessons.

It is worth reminding that Emmanuel Macron has already mentioned that Russia should be respected on the assumption of its place in history and in bilateral relations.

According to him, Russia should be actively involved into settling Syrian crisis and North Korean issue. If the international community wants stability in the world, the relations with Russia should be restored one way or another.
