Serbia interested in development of collaboration with Russia

Russian Defense MinistrySerbian authorities want to improve relations with the Russian Federation in all possible directions, TASS informs. This statement was made by the Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dačić during the meeting with the Russian colleague Sergei Lavrov. It was held on December 20 in Moscow.

He came to Russia as a member of the delegation accompanying Serbian President Alexander Vučić during his working visit. According to Dačić , Belgrade is very optimistic for the visit of the head of state to Russia, which proves existence of good relations connecting the two countries. Our main purpose is to develop and improve these relations, he added.

The Serbian Foreign Minister has expressed gratitude to Russia for support of Belgrade in achieving prioritized goals of the country including protection of territory integrity and sovereignty.

Besides, Dačić has reminded that the bilateral diplomatic relations will celebrate its 180th anniversary in 2018. Serbia and Russia will mark this date in the environment of mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation.
