Metropolitan Hilarion of Volokolamsk, heading of the Moscow Patriarchate’s Department for External Church Relations, the list of destroyed churches was comprised by Rescue Church catholic organization.

The list contains badly destroyed and desecrated relics, which should be restored from the scratch. Now immense work should be done to restore them, the representative of Russian Orthodox Church said.

According to his words, it is necessary to facilitate humanitarian aid to Syrian population to restore destroyed spiritual and cultural centers.
