26.12.2017

Syrians start celebrating New Year, Rossotrudnichestvo reports.

Kids from Damascus orphanages and Russian compatriots' kids came to Russian Cultural Center. Father Frost and Snegurochka met them and invited to participate in New Year Adventure of Pinocchio performance.

Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in Syria with Rossotrudnichestvo branch organized the event. Presents that were brought from Russia are going to orphanage kids that have lost their parents.

According to Alexey Frolov from Rossotrudnichestvo this celebration is very symbolic, because it gathered Russian and Syrian kids. These two countries have victory over terrorism, and now Russia helps Syria to restore peaceful life.

Rossotrudnichestvo representatives have presented gifts and huge Christmas tree to the Saint Ilya Children center in Damascus district Duelia
