Best Russian language experts to study in Russia

A final round of another Russian language Olympiad is to take place in the capital city of Vietnam, according to the Rossotrudnichestvo website. This is the 15th anniversary of the Olympiad this year. Around a hundred of experts in the Russian language among students will be competing for the victory in Hanoi. The best students will be able to continue their education in one of the most prestigious higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation. Organizers are sure that the Olympiad is one of the most efficient ways to select the most talented young people for studying in Russia.

The young participants had to pass a complicated competitive selection round to get to the finals. Assignments were compiled by the teachers of Russian a foreign language from several Russian universities, such as Peoples’ Friendship University Russia, Tomsk State University, Yuzhnouralsk State University, Tambov State University, Kalmyk State University, Tyumen State University and many others. They also checked the completed assignments and were observers at the Olympiad.

All participants had to demonstrate their skills in three types of speech activities: listening, reading and conversation. The exams’ committee included representatives of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Hanoi, prominent Vietnamese linguists, teachers of Russian as a foreign language.

The gala award ceremony will take place as a part of celebration of the Days of Slavic Literacy and Culture in May.
