Tourist flow to Russia will grow by 120% during FIFA World Cup

A tourist flow to Russia will increase by more than twice thanks to FIFA World Cup, RIA Novosti informs. As per the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, such results show tickets’ demand to Russia.

The number of booked tickets exceeds figures of the last year by almost 120 percent. The peak of tickets’ bookings is observed at the opening day of the tournament.

The most active fans are in the countries leading the race for a champion’s title. Latin American countries have the biggest number of ticket bookings. The number of Mexicans wishing to come to Russia has grown by 19 percent, whereas the number of Brazilians – by 15 percent. Tickets from Argentina are booked 10 times more often than a year earlier.

Poland is a leader among the European countries, having 7 times more bookings than the rest. Spain has 5 times more booked tickets than last year.
