The plane with Russian diplomats expelled from UK landed in Vnukovo-2 Moscow airport yesterday’s evening. Around 80 people including 23 Embassy employees together with their families came back from London, RIA Novosti informs.

Russian Ambassador to London Alexander Yakovenko saw them off in Great Britain. In his words, there is nothing to worry about the future of the diplomats, as their career will continue. They will work in the Foreign and Defense Ministries of the Russian Federation. Diplomat has assured that they will be offered positions in Moscow or other countries.

The most important question was how their children will finish the academic year at schools. Ambassador Alexander Yakovenko has mentioned that everything possible is done so that diplomats and members of their families felt themselves at home in Moscow.

Note that London has expelled more than 20 Russian diplomats. British Prime Minister called them "secret agents." In her opinion, Moscow has misused the violence in relation to UK in the Skripal’s case. English authorities are going to check private planes, toughen customs cargo examination procedures. At this, Theresa May has underlined that the full breakage of the dialogue between London and Moscow does not meet British national interests.

Moscow is expelling 23 British diplomats from Russia as a retaliation. Besides, the UK Consulate General is to be closed in Saint Petersburg. The British Council stops its work in the Russian Federation as well.
