Man - How Proud it Sounds! festival to mark Gorky’s anniversary in Munich

Literary festival called Man - How Proud it Sounds! in honor of the 150th birth anniversary of Maxim Gorky is held in Munich. The first presentation dedicated to life and creative way of the great Soviet writer was made by Natalia Reber. Later the audience listened to the speech by historian Dmitri Milinski and afterwards the actor Arthur Galiandin read passages from the Gorky’s books.

Literary musical composition Women in Books and Life of Maixm Gorky will wrap up the first festival day. As Maxim Gorky believed that all beauties of the world come from a woman or from love to a woman.

On Friday, March 23, guests will watch a staging In Life there is Always a Room for Deeds based on romantic essays by Maxim Gorky.
Festival is supported by the Russkiy Mir Foundation. Russian compatriots from Germany and German figures of culture are taking part in the festival.
