An attempted poisoning of Sergei Skripal and his daughter is a terrorist act against the Russian nationals, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry making this statement at the briefing on investigation of the former intelligence agent’s case, RIA Novosti informs.

Besides, Head of the Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Department at the Russian Defense Ministry Vladimir Yermakov has claimed that the Skripal’s case could be staged by the US themselves.

Russian Foreign Ministry has mentioned that London’s statements on the case of the attempted poisoning contain many inconsistencies. Moreover, the British are reluctant to answer the questions posed by Russia. Yermakov has also emphasized that our country still does not have a clear picture of what happened to the two Russian nationals at the territory of the UK.

Yermakov has required from Britain to provide Russia with all available information about the incident. “Provide us with all the data on this, as we believe, terrorist act against the Russian nationals on the territory of the UK. We do not have anything. They tell us about some Novice gas about some attack of Russia on the UK,” diplomat stated.

More than 140 diplomats from other countries were accredited for the briefing, at this, representatives of the UK and the US declined the invitation.

Maria Zakharova commenting the situation mentioned that the most important thing is not a status of the audience, but the content of talks.

Note that London has accused Russia of poisoning of the former Russian intelligence agent and ex-British spy Sergei Skripal with neuro-paralytic substance.

Russian authorities have claimed that Russia is ready to start investigation on the case. Moscow has expressed doubts on readiness of London to cooperate on the investigation of the incident in Saulsberry. Great Britain is continuing to smear Russia using all possible means.
