Polish society of Kursk is repairing the Soviet military cemetery in the Małopolska Voivodeship near Krakow. The first truck with flag plates for stoning the cemetery passages was unloaded the day before. Curbs were changed and aligned. New covering was delivered.

Before works started, society members received a corresponding permission from the local authorities. Activists plan to renovate the tombstones, draw the red stars on them and enumerate the graves discovered during the repair works.

Kursk plans to accomplish the works by April 7, 2018. A week later the gala ceremony of laying flowers on the repaired graves is to be held.

Kursk society has volunteered to restore Soviet and other military graveyards in Poland. This military cemetery is very large – the remains of 641 people rest there.

Everybody is welcome to help this noble deed. Fund raising is open at the Planeta.ru platform.
