American authorities should either provide evidence on Moscow’s involvement into the Skripal case or give a receipt on their absence and apologize, Russian Embassy in Washington believes, IA Interfax informs.

Diplomats have noted that earlier threats that “Russia will account for its illegal activities” sounded from the White House, the State Department and from the National Security Council.

At this, Russia’s demands to provide any clarifications from London have not been satisfied. The British authorities are doing their best to lean their partners towards the groundless and far-fetched support.

Russian diplomats hope that US could get a list of the questions of interest to the whole world answered in the course of contacts with London, including where are Skripal and his daughter now? What is the reason for prohibition of Russian diplomats to meet the Russian nationals with disregard to the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations? Why do police say that the investigation would take several months while the British government has already convicted Russia and why did the UK fail to pass patterns of the poisonous substance for analysis in violation of the Convention for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapon?

Besides, there are questions to US too. In particular, when is Washington going to annihilate its chemical weapon arsenal as Moscow and Damascus did? Can US state that they have no technical means to make poisonous substance of the same kind?

Embassy has called for making a pause, stopping to demonize our country, threaten to Russia and to accuse it of all possible sins.

Russian diplomats “are insisting that Washington should provide evidence of Russia’s illegal actions.”
