Traveler from Yaroslavl Bogdan Bulychev was the first man in the world to get to the North Pole by bicycle, according to IA Interfax.

Moreover, he managed to fulfill his plan of accomplishing the quickest round-the-world trip in the Northern hemisphere.

As per the organizers, the trip finishing at the junction of all the meridians is considered round-the-world. In their words, the expedition started 5 days ago.

At first, the plan was to set out from the Barneo camp of Russian Geographic Society. Unfortunately, this plan failed due to unfavorable weather conditions. This year the ice situation at the cap of the Arctic Ocean is pretty hard: there are many impassable fractures, open waters and faults. The camp was damaged too being intersected by the huge fracture. As a result of this fault, it became impossible to meet expeditions and tourists at the take-off runway.

The expedition had to leave the camp immediately and the traveler was taken to the North Pole by the helicopter and started to conquer it with his bike.

This is not the only personal record of Bogdan Bulychev. A year ago, he won the international marathon race holding the title of the quickest man of the North Pole.
