Russian Language Day dedicated to Ivan Turgenev’s legacy held in Tunisia

The Higher Institute of Languages, Tunis, hosted Russian Language Day, according to the Rossotrudnichestvo official website. The festival was opened by a business meeting of Russian Embassy representatives with new director of the Higher Institute of Languages Missis Hammadi.
This year chief topics of the traditional Russian Language Day in Tunisia were literary legacy of Ivan Turgenev and the forthcoming FIFA World Cup-2018. The conference hall of the Institute was decorated in correspondence with the scheduled topics.

Director of The Higher Institute of Languages, Adviser of Russian Embassy in Tunisia Viktor Sergeyevich Voropaev and President of Association of Compatriots’ Club Anna Dimasi greeted the students. Participants of the International Educational campaign Total Dictation in Tunisia were awarded with certificates and diplomas as a part of the festival agenda.

A concert prepared by students of the Higher Institute of Languages and the Russian ballet school was held at the end of the day. Concert participants sang Russian songs, read verses in Russian and staged some theatrical performances.
