The event has turned into a good tradition a long time ago, which supports collaboration between the two countries. The festival will be organized for the 12th time this year. It is timed with St. Nicolas Day marked on May 22nd.

Summer Garden of the Arts is a part of the Russian Seasons in Italy, so its agenda promises to be even more extensive than before.

Performance of soloists from Academy of Mariinsky Thatre promises to be very interesting.

The Italian audience is going to see novices of the Russian cinema, The Spacewalk directed by Dmitry Kiselev, The End of the Beautiful Epoch by Stanislav Govorukhin, The Rock by Ivan Shakhnazarov and other Russian movies.

The lecture titled the historical painting in the feature film will be delivered by professor of the painting and drawing department of Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography Vitaly Yarmolaev.

The guests of the festival will be demonstrated an exhibition dedicated to the literary legacy of Leo Tolstoy called Leo Tolstoy in the Family Circle. The opening ceremony will be visited by the writers’ descendants living in Italy.
