Annual International Cultural Festival Rendezvous with Russia was held at the Elizabeth Park in Brussels, Belgium. The festival was organized by the Belgium Federation of Russian-language organizations supported by the Russian Embassy, IA Interfax reports.

Guests took part in street parties, fairs and exhibitions, they could visit fashion shows and taste traditional dishes of different nationalities inhabiting Russia and some ex-Soviet Republics. The day will end with a gala concert with participation of Childhood’s Planet children’s troupes.

Participants of Days of Ossetic Culture in Europe became honored guests of the festival.

Each year organizers dedicate the festival to a certain remarkable event. The main peculiarity of the festival this year is a quiz devoted to FIFA World Cup to start in Russia in a month. All participants of the quiz received memorable prizes and souvenirs. Last year’s festival was dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Peter the Great’s visit to Belgium.
