The first Russian Gold Mining Festival on prospecting the gold by rule of thumb is to take place in the Magadan region from June 13 until June 15. The guests of the Festival will take part in the Lucky Strike competitions turning them into gold miners in Kolyma.

The competition is to become a central event at the Festival, RIA Novosti informs. Everybody will be able to pan the soil with particles of the gold. A miner panning the largest weight of the dug gold slugs will win. Unfortunately, the participants will not be able to leave the gold for themselves, but will get the monetary compensation reaching 15,000 US dollars.

For people reluctant to become the gold miners, other entertainment activities are planned including horseback riding, rafting and fishing. Tourists will be offered to take a bite in the field kitchen or listen to the guitar songs.
