A resolution approved after the session of Assembly of  Federal Union of European Nationalities calls the Estonian government for prohibiting discrimination of national minorities. Participants of defenders’ meeting in the Netherlands plead for considering the opinion of Russian-speaking population when initiating new law drafts, TASS reports.

Document and, in particular, articles concerning support of national minorities in Estonia was unanimously accepted. The members of the Assembly talked about unacceptability of the Russian schools’ oppression. Before approving of these amendments, it is necessary to open a constructive dialogue with representatives of the Russian national minorities, according to the Assembly participants.

Earlier, Non-Commercial Organization Russian School of Estonia has many times claimed that introduction the state language into kindergartens and schools attended by the Russian compatriots, can have negative aftermath on their psychological state. Nevertheless, starting next year, Estonian authorities are ready to make all kindergartens partially Estonian – language oriented.
