FIFA failed to find evidence of Russian football players taking any banned doping substances after conduction of an extensive investigation. WADA agreed with these results, TASS informs.
As a part of the investigation, international specialists were studying test probes of the Russian football players and examining all the test tubes for the purpose to find any traces of substitution of the tests or even small scratches. At present, all investigations concerning members of the Russian national football team were completed and all the cases were closed.
Mail on Sunday British weekly newspaper published an article by sports journalist Nick Harris. The author accused FIFA of being aware of all these violations. At this, the journalist forgot to include an official statement of the International Football Federation into the article.
FIFA has reminded that their specialists were dealing with this question together with WADA. Harris, in his usual manner, has decided that he is entitled to provide the readers with the facts suitable to his conception only. In his article, he cites people being not related to the investigation at all. One may conclude that Harris believes that the WDA position is irrelevant.
