The fourth calligraphy contest has finished accepting applications. It is held by the Russian Center of the University of Milan. It is an annual tradition for three years. Its popularity is growing year by year. The entry list is broadening. Contestants come from different regions. Both those who study Russian as a foreign language and native speaking compatriots aspire to win.

The main task of the creative contest is to develop a beautiful and readable handwriting for the students when writing in Russian.

Anyone can take part in the contest. There are no restrictions on age and residence place.

The expert commission of Russian language teachers of the University of Milan will examine works for a month.

This year contest is dedicated to Ivan Turgenev's work, since it is 200 birth anniversary of the Russian literature classic in 2018.

Winners will be determined in three categories: excerpt from any book of the great writer, a note requesting a date from the Asya story and the image of word in Turgenev's works.

The names of the winners will be announced in November. Ten laureates will receive memorable awards.
