The children of Syria received gifts from their peers from Russia, RIA Novosti reports. Sweets, stationery and toys were given to them by pupils of Moscow schools. They collected the presents during the School of Kindness charity action. The Moscow Church of Voskreseniya Slovushchego Na Uspenskom Vrazhke  also sent gifts to little Syrians. They were delivered to Syria along with the humanitarian aid of the All-Russian Combat Brotherhood veteran organization.

According to the deputy head Dmitry Sablin, the participants of the action were happy that they were able to bring joy to those children who, during their short life, had to face all the difficulties and tragedies of wartime.

He stressed the particular importance of the fact that young Russians joined the action. It was gratifying to realize, Dmitry Sablin added, that they grew up as true people and became kind, sympathetic and stronger by helping those who needed help.

Children of Damascus, as well as young residents of the city of Al-Suqaylabiyah which is located almost on the front line, have already received the gifts. Earlier they were also given sets of school supplies, gathered by members of the Russian Yunarmia movement during the charity event Children of Russia - to the Children of Syria.

The Russian humanitarian mission will also send them a batch of children's vitamins.
