Russian military delivered 80 sets of Russian language textbooks to one of the schools in Aleppo, Syria, RIA Novosti informs.

Representative of the Center for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides Viktor Nefedov reported this to journalists. According to him, the textbooks are published specifically for Arab schools within the framework of a humanitarian mission.

Syrian children thanked the Russians performing songs of wartime in Russian.

As Russian teacher Tatyana Fedotova told, they started teaching Russian at this school several years ago. The subject was added to the school curriculum in response to requests of students’ parents. Fedotova faced a great interest of the children to Russian language and culture while she was teaching Russian at several schools of the city. According to her, conversations with children about vocabulary and grammar go beyond the lessons often.

As Russkiy Mir reported, staff members of the Center for the Reconciliation of Opposing Sides handed over 40 sets of Russian textbooks and stationery kits to schoolchildren in Aleppo in the end of January. Locals of Beer Ajam, located in the province of Quneitra, received 100 sports suits, sports shoes, blankets and towels.
