Syrian students dream to study in Russia

Popularity of Russian education is growing among Syrians, Rossotrudnichestvo website reports.  Day by day grows the number of applications to Russian institutions from students from country recovering after the war.

Russian government has allocated 500 seats for Syrians under free quota. Almost 1200 people were admitted to the full-time test phase. The number of applications exceeded 2.5 thousand. Special commission, which includes Russian diplomats and representatives of the Syrian Ministry of Higher Education, selects the best applicants. Experts from a dozen higher educational institutions in Russia joined them.

Commission members note that the range of training areas chosen by applicants for training in our country is very wide and includes philology, medicine, information technology, architecture and construction.

Note, Ministry of Higher Education of Syria underlined that the quotes  allocated by Russian government for Syrian students are very important since the country need specialist who would help the country to recover after exhausting war. Medics and engineers are particularly requested.
