The official Russian Visa Application Center (RVC) has begun working in the Japanese capital, RIA Novostireports. The staff of the RVC will take in documents, process them, issue visas and provide a number of other services. The employees of the centre will help the visitors to fill in questionnaires, take a photo and even send passports by mail or by courier.

The embassy of the Russian Federation is confident that this will help speed up the process of applying for a visaand will provide an opportunity to reduce the time of appointment.

When submitting documents, you will have to pay a consular fee and the cost of service in the amount of four and a half thousand yen, which is slightly more than two thousand six hundred rubles.

Applicants will still be able to apply for visas at the embassy.

RVC and its staff are not involved in making decisions on visa issuance and on the deadlines for issuing documents.

Russkiy Mir reported earlier that modern centers for visiting Russia, which are meant to simplify and speed up the issue of visas, were being opened in different countries of the world with the assistance of the diplomatic department of Russia.
