St Petersburg and Aeroflot win 'Touristic Oscar'

Northern capital of Russia is granted with World Travel Awards another time, RIA Novosti reports. St. Petersburg won the Leading Tourist Destinations in Europe award, competing with capitals of France, Britain, Greece, Netherlands. Barcelona and Moscow were also in the list.     

Aeroflot – Russian Airlines has won awards in three nominations this year: Europe's Leading Airline - Business Class, Europe's Leading Airline Brand and Europe's Leading Airline to Asia.

Mriya Resort & SPA from Crimea was awarded also in three nominations: as Europe's Leading Leisure Resort and Leading Luxury Family Resort and Europe's Leading MICE Resort 2019.

Swissotel Krasnye Holmy from Moscow was named the best Luxury Business Hotel in Russia and in Europe, while Lotte Hotel St. Petersburg has got Europe's Leading Luxury Hotel 2019 award.

World Travel Awards exist since beginning of 1990s. There are two tours. During the first one tourists are voting online, during the second one jury chooses the best destinations and businesses.
