Google has placed a festive doodle on the start page of its search engine, created by sisters-artists from St. Petersburg.

Sisters Anna and Barbara Kendel draw in a mixed technique. The logo was made with watercolor and pencils, and then processed on a computer using a variety of textures.

According to the artists, they travel a lot around Russia for inspiration. "In the doodle, we wanted to reflect the diversity of the nature of Russia, but you cannot show everything in one picture. We paid more attention to Baikal, because now the question of its preservation is especially important for all of us," the artist noted.

The Kendel sisters are engaged in illustrating books, particularly about nature.

Italian entrepreneur Marco Maggi's book, "Russian to the Bone," is now accessible for purchase in Italy and is scheduled for release in Russia in the upcoming months. In the book, Marco recounts his personal odyssey, narrating each stage of his life as a foreigner in Russia—starting from the initial fascination to the process of cultural assimilation, venturing into business, fostering authentic friendships, and ultimately, reaching a deep sense of identifying as a Russian at his very core.
