Giselle ballet performed by Yekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater was a gift for the residents of Vietnam on the Day of Russia. The production was performed at the Big Opera Theater of Hanoi, and was accompanied by a local orchestra. The concert was a joint project of Russian Embassy in Vietnam, the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Vietnam and industrial companies of the two countries, NhanDan newspaper reported.

The concert was held within the framework of the Cross Year of Culture of Russia and Vietnam. According to Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Konstantin Vnukov, Giselle and the brilliant parties of Russian artists allowed the audience to feel the whole attraction of Russia and its culture. The performance aroused great interest and was widely discussed among fans of ballet and theatrical art.

A sign of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia was awarded to the Head of the Vietnamese state television, Chairman of the Vietnamese-Russian Friendship Society Chan Bin Min "for his contribution to international cooperation”.
