Fyodor Konyukhov is going to make a flight from Moscow to Kamchatka on an airplane with solar batteries at the beginning of autumn, TASS reports. This weekend the traveler flew from the Moscow region to Crimea on an experimental Flying Laboratory aircraft. This was the first such flight in history.

According to Oskar Konyukhov, his father plans to start in Moscow in September and fly through Chelyabinsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk and Yakutia to get to Kamchatka.

The flight organizers expect that it will take a week to make this route. The plane with the wingspan of 25 meters will be equipped with video cameras. They will capture the expanses of the country from a bird's eye view. The shooting will be used to create a film.

The flight to Crimea allowed to test the equipment, and also gave pilots the opportunity to practice. Oscar Konyukhov assured that everything was as usual. Fyodor Konyukhov will fly out of Evpatoria today and take a course towards Moscow.

The flight to Crimea was a test in preparation for the next project - an air expedition around the world using solar energy. The mission of the flight is to test the work of solar modules. The Flying Laboratory plane was created specifically for the development of technological solutions with which an air vehicle for flying around the world will be built. It is equipped with flexible solar modules made in our country and energy storage systems. It is planned that the world tour will pass without landing.
